Excellent blog with lots of useful information. I just favorited it in my browser, so I can always check out your blog! Are there any forums you would recommend I join on such topic? Thanks
This is a rip
DO NOT BELIEVE THE COMMENTS THAT TOUT THIS SERVICE-
they are totally bogus!
I want my money back
There is no way to access these people-the website has expired!
Hi, just trying to purchase the satellite direct, even it is not a lot of money but like to see it really work on all channels, especily I like to see 97 channels in Taiwan.
however, all other channels are not interests to me.
the risk is after paid the $, if it is not working, then we stuck ?
why you are not happy with this product?
I am lucky
I payed with PayPal, posted a claim and got refunded !!
this is scam. Company advertise much more chanels than you are geting. For example – polish chanels over 100 truly is no more than 20 and it is the lovest quality sort of free to air chanels from polish garbage television They are laying to get your money.
You don’t know what you are talking about…..and you can’t spell……I bought it, have it, and use it dipweed. Get a life……..my life.
Just want to chat with “anyone” who has bought the product/service and give the truth about how the service really works! Talking about satellite direct.
Can’t find one person in this “world” that will acually stand up /behind what they say.
HMMMMMMM ???
DONT BUY IT “”TOTAL RIP OFF SCAM YOU NAME IT”"” REALLY DONT GET WHAT THEY ADVERTISE,NO FULL SCREEN IVE BEEN ABLE TO WATCH JUST COUPLE OF CHANNELS NOT WORTH IT!!!PAY CABLE TV….”"”"I WANT MY $$$$$ BACK”"”ASS WH”%$&
This is a scam indeed, there is no catagory sort option, the channels are almost all incoded ie: 123bai0000 So… what tha hell channel is that!?
I tryed to cancel and get a full refund, what a mess! They snaked around my direct request, after 3 emails back and forth, I told them I was filing a fraud complaint with my credit card company. Funny, then they wanted to help and directed me to their bank to get my refund, I am still waiting.
DON’T Fall into this SCAM, unless that is you want to loose your money and make someone else rich that is!
You guys must work for a cable company. There is full screen. The channels are very specific, ESPN, HGTV…etc. I just got through watching it with a friend that has it. You have to wait about 30 seconds for the channel to start but once it starts it works fine. They even had HBO.
ou are full of something. This is a rip off and you are most likely a part of it. People don’t get fooled by these ASS HOLES.
TOTAL SCAM,
PAID FOR IT THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD AND ONLY WAS ABLE TO USE IT ONCE.
DO NOT PURCHASE (THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY ) IT IS A TOTAL FAKE
The software advertises 79 channels for Iceland. This is amusing, as you could possibly count 10 channels total in Iceland if you were really liberal in what constitues a TV channel. This simply has to be a scam.
This is a scam it has a lot of useless webcams, it doesn’t have the basic free to air channels in Australia and the abc channel doesn’t even work! It says can’t connect to server!
This is funny the way they advertise it here is the US. After paying it with my PayPal, I was able to download SD.???exe software. Then comes the Registration screen… after putting my email address and order number click on Register and it says you need your actual registration number. So I am still waiting for someone to email me my transaction number so I can watch TV sometime this week.
I think I made a good decision to pay through Paypal so that I can just say that the service was delivered and have my money refunded within 72 hours.
I paid for this service thru paypal for PC programming. I watched programming for about 3 hours to discovery on the HBO channels, the same movie is on. Most of the channel do not come in. One channel was very good quality, others were crap. I wanted to have this on my Mac as well (It has a 27″ screen). This is where the problem started, I got no password or registration code, could not contact anyone to help me. With back to my pc and the program said I was registered as a Mac use, now my PC satellite direct doesn’t work. I filed a complaint through paypal to suspend payments. I want my money back, think I’ll stick to ATT U-verse.
Yes this is a scam. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SOFTWARE !!!! … I purchased this software & got low definition tv. Most of the time it is pre-recorded, not live streaming, Then I end up having no channels after awhile so when I try to update the software I can’t update it when it says there is an update. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED BY ONE WHO GOT SUCKED IN !!!…….
i ASKED FOR A REFUND BASED ON THE ABOVE & THEY BASICALLY REPLIED SAYING TOO BAD !!!!
These guys need to be reported to the right Authorities as as Scamm !!
paid $, now how do I access sattelite direct? I have reg code what do i do with it?
I agree a waste of money. They advertise far more Candian channels than they deliver. Try something else but do not get this.
This is a scam indeed.
This program is the biggest shit I ever bought, they are quick in responding to sell you their carp but you after you paid never hear from them again and you lost your money and have a crap program !
Everyone who paid using PayPal please claim your money back via PayPal this will get them blacklisted and will save some other people money !
My claim is already registered with PayPal.
I was charged $49.95 by Click Bank and then spent over an hour trying to get Satellite Direct to work by following download directions and other information as best I could. (I have a new iMac). This was supposed to be such a wonderful program and so easy to use! Baloney!
I’ve sent an email, but have received either no response or an automatically generated one. ALSO, there is NO phone number for either Click Bank or Satellite Direct where I can reach a live person for help.
I do want my money back. When reading here I’m not surprised to find that this is a SCAM. I will take it up with my credit card company; hopefully they can get Click Bank to issue me a full refund. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT.
Thanks to you and all the other posts. I suppose if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
I’m there with you. I just canceled my card so they cannot take any more of my money. These BASTARDS are laughing all the way to the bank!!! I hope they get caught and soon. What amase me is that they are allowed to advertise on the big names out there.
I went through clickbank and i to could not get the program to work and there was no phone number to call for help. But as far as i know clickbank is a reptuable company or website. They give you 60 days to get a refund if you are not satisfied. I to emailed clickbank and got no response for a few times that i emailed. So i think i went on google and found the number for customer service for clickbank and i phoned clickbank directly and i told them that i have emailed you guys a number of times and i have not gotten a response back or a refund. The person i spoke to had a look and told me that they received all my emails and that i would receive a refund today and that was only when i got my refund. If you want to call me you can call me at 1-403-550-2648 or email me and i can look for the number for you if you cannot find the number still. But i am wondering if this is all a scam because i followed all instructions and could not get any tv channels. Thanks. Allie Gader.
Same experience here – could NOT get it to work on Firefox OR Safari…will simply have to cancel credit card charge. Would love to find alternative service….
THankfully I’m only out $30 until I get my statement.
THanks,
cb
Thanks for the comments, I think you just saved me a lot of time, money and AGGRAVATION…….
thanks. I just saved $50
After reading all these reviews and experiences with this Company, DEFINITELY, I will not order this “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE DEAL”. Truly a SCAM!!!!
Thanks
My friend just paid for this program and the power went out, so he can’t even download the program to install it. Do you know of a way of doing this? He has a confirmation number from the bank payment
wow.. i saw their ad. of this “too good to be real” product on Facebook and i was about to get it…till …i see this review! if this is such good service , sure a lot cable companies already out of business ~
thanks for all the comments sound too good to be ture there is the samething but it is free its called tvu network @#$# sattlite even there repersenative is fake
Thank You For The Warning!!! I thought it sounded to good, but if was true most satellite and cable companies would find a way to tie them up legally for loss of income. I’m sorry so many of you lost your money, but appreciate your feedback to stop others from going down that rocky road!
I bought this program because of the price and I only watch a handful of shows. News and Docs. Took me forever to go through all the channels to find what I was looking for. Most channels I got were traffic cams streaming. WHO CARES. Town Hall meetings about dogs crapping the park. WHO CARES. After finding my programs and watching for about 2 weeks they sent me an update. I installed. Now nothing. favorites wiped clean. Channels no longer work. I have tried their online chat that ataes they will return your answer within 24.48 hours. What the HELL time is that??? By the way they never get back to you. Online Chat…Bullshit. To late for me to refund, Actually I was quite happy with my few channels if they hadn’t gone an screwed with it.
I usually research before buying. They got me on this one. I ordered satellite direct and followed all instructions to the letter. The first thing that worried me was that it is not a trusted site. Hmm I wonder why? They provided several codes like bank statement item name, order number, receipt number (same), and activation code. After paying and downloading you would think it is ready for use but then they ask for your e-mail address (which they already have) and the registration key. Registration key? That was never provided. Apparently it gets e-mailed. Why isn’t it included in the very long purchase confirmation e-mail. A button under the registration key field says click here for your registration key and it will be e-mailed to you. The button is inactive-fake-doesn’t do anything! Sounds like some people are getting service. Nothing yet. I’m in the US and I guess my $200 a month cable is the only way to go.

Having searched the Internet for information about SatelliteDirect, a very sinister pattern emerged: scores of positive testimonials purported to have been written by once-skeptical buyers appear all over the Net. Close examination quickly reveals that these testimornials are quite disingenuous. It is clear that at least some of them have been written by the same person. The architects of this “marketing” scheme attempted unskillfully to dissimulate this fact by making minor and superficial alterations to the text, but the style and the content are essentially the same. Most of these testimonials have the SatelliteDirectTVScam tag, no doubt as a way of allaying any fears potential customers (or victims) may harbour concerning the purchase. Now contrast these bogus testimonials to the growing number of frustrated customers, you end up with a rather undesirable brew. One other thing that I find unsettling is the claim that 548 channels are available. Being a UK resident, I believe this to be a gross exaggeration. Satellite Direct might well work for some but all this is making me far too nervous to dive in. Caveat emptor.
WHAT A LOAD OF SHITE ……f*****ing ripped off big style, scamming bastards if i find out where they are ill be taking revenge .thieves is all i can say.SCAMMING RIPP OFF THIEVES do not buy. false advertising should be an offence I WANT MY MONEY BACK …… SCUMBAGS ….. IF YOUR BASED IN WEST(OR EAST) SUSSEX I WILL FIND YOU AND CAUSE AS MUCH DAMAGE AS I CAN IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.I SUSPECT YOU USE ALL THE CASH TO FINANCE DRUGS .I WILL BE THE ONE WHO SET YOU UP AND CALLED THE POLICE YOU LIEING SCUMBAGS
I dont know if all of you negative commentators work for dish or cable companies but I rather stay away from satellite direct, they offered it to me for 29.95 when I was closing their downloading window, remember, if it souds too good to be true, it probably is, thank you.
The more I hear about Clickbank’s products, this online TV deal included, the less trust I have in the system. Seems like a bunch of conartists pumping useless products into the market. The whole affiliate marketing thing is beginning to stink!
We were going to purchase this……Thanks for all the replies this saves us from a SCAM. I hope you all get your money back!!!! Here is what you can do. Report this to the Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov. Please include as many details as possible in your report, including but not limited to names, addresses, phone and fax numbers, email addresses and account numbers. Good Luck!!
thanks.
saved me $50.
I agree as to the product being far less than what is advertised… I have requested a full refund and hope they have the courtesy of giving me a response.. The product has no value to me, and I am usually very easy to please.
Yes I got duped by this one too. Present a question to who knows who, and you get a response back from a computer generated name, Loraine I think, saying I’m here to help and answer any questions. Hello, I already asked a fu(king question.
This is a canned program. Can’t be opened. It is slightly worth $30, but you have to work hard to get your moneys worth. I would advise against plunking down $30 for it. Too bad for others that did; and way too bad for others that paid $50.
Thank you for the warnings….No wonder I was so skeptical in ordering this “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE DEAL” I’m glad I waited to hear feedback before i make my decision. This is a SCAMSCAMSCAMSCAMSCAMSCAMSCAMSCAM!
wish i would have read this before….. buyer beware…. this program is junk…. wasted 53.00 canadian…. scammmmmmmmmmmmmm all the way… believe what you read…. total junk…. and you cant get back your money…….
Thanks, too, for all the comments … hhhmmmm, first offer was $49.95 marked down from $149.95 then as I was leaving their site, a $29.95 offer came up … do they think that we all are stupid?
Adios Assholes ….
Origionally bought this in Aug. Paid $49.95 and had no sooner make the purchase and they offered it to me for $29.95. I was able to arrange a refund and repurchased it for the $29.95. My computer crashed and I lost the program. Yesterday, I was able to contact Click by checking my bank records and finding the phone number. Called them and they requested that SD re-send me my registration code. I got it today but so far have not been able to re-register the program as the only download page I can find wants me to enter my CC information. I;m not about to do that again.. Today, I sent an additional email asking how I can re-install the program without putting credit card information in. Will try to post if I get an answer. Early on, I was able to view a couple of programs, but I cannot recommend this program. I just chaked it up to making a bad pruchase decision. This is a buyer-be-ware as you probably will not get what you expect.
Satellite Direct is a scam service 100%. It has nothing to do with being legal or anything like that. They just pipe (steal) the feed of all these channels on the net and pipe it to you through their software. No quality of service, NEVER there is customer support, nor the service it’s what’s advertised. It’s easy to shut them down at once. I paid through PayPal, so I wrote PayPal and now I am writing VISA, MC and AMEX to inform all of them about this scam service!!!
I bought his product at the discounted price of 29.99. It is not worth it. While there are scads of “local” tv broadcast stations on the list, most of them are not accessible even if you wanted to watch some stupid local programing. I was able to see the same looped commercial for Conn’s on three different channels – a spotty old movie of sorts on the Thriller channel – by spotty I mean it didn’t stream so it was un-watch-able … a couple of “Q’s” – which I take to mean that while the satellite is there nothing is being broadcast… I have asked for a refund but have had no response so I would like to ask Rich how he got a refund. So while this seems to be a good idea – major channels and programs via satellite – there is absolutely nothing there that is worth even $29.99. Totally FALSE advertising.
DO NOT FALL FOR IT – THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM !!! I have been trying for weeks to get my money back and I have yet to see any channels working…
NOT ONLY THIS IS A SCAM, YOU CAN GAVE THIS SOFTWARE FOR FREE, THERE ARE SO MANY FREE INTERNET RADIO/TV PLAYERS (E.G READON)
DON’T PAY A CENT FOR SUCH A FREE TV THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY CABLE OR SATELLITE PROVIDER.
THE QUALITY IS TERRIBLE ON MOST CHANNELS AND THIS IS WORTHLESS!
What scam they ripped me off and I wanrt to make them pay but how there doesnt seem to be any protection from these ripoff merchants and the only come back is to whine here to people who have been ripped off to , that just aint going to satify me until I find out how to get to these bastards I hope they get a virus up there arse
Thanks, I was about to buy this software. Thanks for the reviews.
Thanks for all of these comments. You did me a great service!
I hate hearing about scams like this.
Satellite Direct is not what it purports to be. They do offer a lot of channels but they are all for the most part obsecure channels that you would never watch anyway and searching for them is painful. As a matter of fact it’s a laborious process that has technical issues. Their tech support is non existant. They will respond alright but they offer no real help. They just have rote dialogue for their response. I wouldn’t waste your time or money on Satellite Direct.
Not buying it…..too good to be true….i got the response as well while i was closing the window/session for satellite direct…Ana says hi and will offer discount…She offered me $29.99 instead of $49.99….i clicked on the link and it looked good…then i asked Ana a question about “where u guys are located at, ur main Head Office” and the next thing i noticed Ana says again the same thing “Hi, can i noticed u r laving the website can i offer a discount” …so thats an automated ting rather than an individual helping u…that made me look up the Bank link and i found this site….thanks for all the feedback….i hope u guys get yr money back…and hopefully some government institute catch up and take legal actions against them….
Thanks for all the comments. I haven’t heard of anyone giving us some software that does work or is there no such thing and they are all scams. Hope someone out there can help me and others. There must be some honest people who sell a good product. Waiting to hear.
Satelitte Direct. I signed up yesterday for this service to watch the Steelers play the Jets. Once I completed the process I had no problem finding the game and watched it on my PC from a station in Tampa Florida. For me no problems yet. I did use PayPal also so if there are any issues I will get my money back.
I went to visit an out of town friend and she turned me on to the product. I visited for four days and we watch TV streaming from her laptop to her 47 inch LCD TV and although it has a lag in the beginning of the channel choice it all went great. She does have DSL which causes the lag too.
They do stream a lot of useless crap as mentioned above, but most channels in the US work fine, including the paid ones (HBO and such). I pay a monthly charge for cable and internet and they include crap channels too (HGTV and others). Cable is a rip off. The want you to pay for level one (60 channels with crap channels included), then level two (120 Channels with more crap channels included) and more money and then level three …
How many channels do you really watch? 3500! NOT!! you probably watch around 20 and pay a big monthly charge because level one doesn’t include all you channels. For instance Bravo is not on level one. so you pay an extra premium to get the two or three that are missing. That is the biggest rip off and we have been dealing with that for decades. Not to mention that if you want international channels you have to add more charges to those extra charges you are already paying for. The scam is that they can included all those channels for free because it doesn’t cost them anything or it may may cost them less than a penny for a package of channels. Bandwidth is not an issue because their lines can handle the extra channels. But its the american way to over charge.
Now you have a company that gives you a lot of channels (probably to include all you watch regularly plus those you don’t [HBO ...] for a one time fee. And all you do is complain that you dont get charged more or because all of the channels don’t work (mainly the ones you don’t watch). But its the american way to allow companies to do this. We all bend over and apply the grease to make it easier but we don’t complain about the fees that keep growing.
Why do you think there is such a thing as pirated movies and TV shows. Those are created by people who are tired of the over charge for channels and even movies in the movie theater. If the fees were resonable we wouldnt download pirated video. We wouldnt have to because we get them at a reasonable price and better quality. But its the american way …
The problems most of you are probably having are due to your own outdated hardware and slow internet (or wrongly configured). Example1: Try playing a new PC game on a computer that is more than 4-5 years old and you will have issues. Example2: Internet speeds are highly exaggerated. 100 bits is not the same as 100 bytes. its 8 bits per 1 byte. Its like the car industry telling you that the car goes a maximum of over 5,200 feet per minute, and you say “WOW”, but then when you calculate it you find out it only goes a mile a minute or 60 miles per hour maximum. Then you realize you got scammed. So the internet provider tells you you are getting 12 Megabits (12,000,000) bandwidth and when you do the calculation you see that you are only getting 1.5 MB (megabytes). My home network goes faster internally.
Then the second scam, DSL (cheaper than cable) doesn’t tell you that just because they are selling you 12Mbits, you will be sharing most of that with your neighbors on the same switch. Ever notice your internet is slow during peak times? (9 pm is one of those times)
And Cable sells you 8Mbits at one price and it climbs from there, when they can give you their highest at the same price because it doesn’t cost them any more to give it to you. But because of their higher prices than DSL for better quality you choose a lower speed at the lower price. And cable creates their own slow down during peak so you will upgrade when you get tired of it. But all in all cable is still better.
Don’t even look at satellite internet unless you have a dedicated dish just for the internet. Total garbage especially if it rains or you have high winds moving tree branches in the way of the stream.
And most of you have a wired and/or wireless access inside the home that has not been configured to optimum for your services (internet, video streaming, etc)
Most of you complaining have your own issues, mentally or with your hardware or internet access. Just fix it.
Or you work for a company that provides these services and are afraid to lose your job because the consumers are tired of your sh*t. Late appointments, not ready (missing equipment) for appointment or just bad service.
I worked for the internet services of DSL and cable companies and I am all for a free and uncensored internet. I could just imagine what the cost will be when all your services will be on the internet (TV and phone) and you cant get them anywhere else.
Services like this are still new and are working out the kinks. Most of the issues are either consumer related or the people who are selling it, not the service itself. Optimize your hardware and your ISP service, and if it don’t work, then you have cause to complain. Otherwise shut up with all the whining about a new service or software that doesn’t work on your outdated computer. Its the way of computers. There is something new every 18 months, but if you don’t upgrade every 4-5 years you will be at the bottom of the totem pole. Ala Y2K. It wasn’t the issue of the date being wrong, it was to get all you people who think “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”. They created the scare because your network (the internet is a network) is only as fast as the slowest connection on it. Things needed to be upgraded, but it would only be worth the new expense if consumers can utilize it the way it was meant to be used.
I hope this clears up some of your confusion and help you in other matters. Get new appliances to save on your electricity, get a newer car to get better mileage, etc. etc.
