My Pad Media is a web based service that allows members to download eBooks, comic books and newspapers to their iPad, iPhone or iTouch for free. The idea is that you pay a one time membership charge that costs less than the price of five ordinary downloads and then have access to the My Pad Media library of downloads for free.
Within minutes of joining My Pad Media, you can start to download your free books. The process is very simple and works on PC, MAC and Linux. Once you join, you’re given a login and password and are able to download immediately. My Pad Media is available worldwide, though at this moment they only include titles in English.

They are the books you would expect from major publishing houses and they add new titles every day. Similarly, newspapers are major metropolitan newspapers. Another area where My Pad Media really excels is comic books. They offer the major superhero books, anime, manga, and even comedy publications.

Frankly this is over hyped. The “newspapers” and “magazines” are not ezines or PDFs but are just a collection of links to paper and magazine web sites. You can get the same site for the same price (free) by just browsing there; Mypadmedia doesn’t add anything, doesn’t get you access to anything you could not already get for free. I have not tried books yet, but for newspapers and magazines it is completely not needed.

mypadmedia and plimus are both scams. they refuse to send license or refund. as far as that goes they refuse to answer an emails. we purchased it on 12/09/2010. don”t fall for it.
This is a sucking scam. please god sake let some take action on this fellow. MypadMedia is dollar sucking monster. at least spread the news in almost all sites about this site and company.. it will be a happier new year for many fall-guys like me.
I signed up in December 2010. Now the website is no longer functional so you cannot attempt to contact the merchant. I called my credit card company to get the charge taken off. Also, if you signed up and are in the same boat as me, then I would suggest that you close your credit card company and tell them you think your account has been compromised.
Both companies are scam artist. Should be reported to the Better Business Brueau
Unfortunately the website is still functioning as I have just been scammed.
This is a total scam. Buyer beware! They advertise customer satisfaction and a money back guarantee but that is not true. They also advertise that they will respond to queries within 72 hours but after 3 weeks and dozens of emails they still don’t respond. You can get all the books on their site for free elsewhere. Also, they show authors of best sellers on their website but these authors and/or books are not avail once you buy your membership.
Good thing I reviewed first then getting sucked into the too good to be true offer.Thanks all for posting your bad experienced so that others cant be duped.
So I decided that as much as I read this would be a great deal. i bought the service and went to get a couple of the books shown on the advertisement. None of the books I saw on the website are available for download. The only books are free downloads anyway. I tried to contact the company several times regarding this oversight. No response, so cancelled the charge. A hassle for me because had to cancel my create card but worth it.
